Established in 2006 and utilising over forty years’ experience in the health care space Surgical Sense Ltd was founded by Richard South in response to growing demand for consultancy from his wealth of contacts and knowledge of the healthcare industry following his retirement.

  
From his early career as Managing Director of ROCIALLE, and General Manager of PFM MEDICAL UK, and subsequently General Manager of THE UNITED MEDICAL GROUP Saudi Arabia where he was responsible for souring medical disposables for several hospitals including the Al Hada 525 bed hospital with 1800 staff for the Ministry for Defence and Aviation.

  
Richard pioneered the concept of today’s procedure packs and introduced the concept to the NHS in the 1980s.
